Teller Interview

"What else would I need?" I rose an eyebrow at her. "You like my car, you fix cars, you're nice, sexy and gorgeous, you laugh a lot and you believe in supernatural things. If that isn't a sign.."

I trailed off and smiled at her. The other part I could have admitted was that it may have been a life altering decision, but I knew it would be what Sam would have wanted. A normal life for me and I didn't care how long I'd known Jade. I would have run now to do it. Now that would be something to tell your kids someday.

"No sex before marriage rule?"

I asked with my eyebrows raised but was distracted as she kept dancing. At one point I actually had to shift my pants a little because they were becoming pretty tight and painful. I was always proud of my manhood but this last year had been so difficult that I hadn't been able to.. well, that was embarrassing. We'll just say that I hadn't been this excited in an entire year.

"You have no idea the sort of things I know."

I sighed slightly and then smiled when Jade came to sit in my lap. I wrapped my arms around her waist and breathed deeply. Her shampoo smelled lovely. I loved women who smelled good.

"So then what's the problem?" I asked. "Because we've hardly known each other, huh." I chuckled.

I smiled and rather enjoyed having Dean's arms around me. I could smell his cologne and it was strangely comforting to me. It was like an old familiar scent that brought up memories of being safe and warm. Very strange since it was coming from someone I barely knew.

"Yes, the problem is that we hardly know each other" I chuckled "Sure we might seem great to each other in these first few hours, but what will it be like after we've spent days around each other? For all you know, I could have other personality traits that will end up annoying the hell out of you." I shrugged slightly

To any normal, sane person it probably would have seemed highly unusual that I didn't mention anything about safety or trust; I'd only mentioned personality clashes. But that was just it...as hard as it usually was for me, after all my dad's training, to trust a stranger...somehow I knew I could trust Dean and that I was safe with him.

"Oh look" I whispered, having just glanced over at the bar to check on Evie "I think they finally realized they like each other" I giggled

I laughed and shook my head at Eve "You are smart. And you're beautiful, you're funny, you're a good friend, and Abel loves you. I don't care if you can't fix cars. I'm not trying to employ you at the auto shop" I chuckled

I took my drink from her, but instead of taking a sip, I reached across the bar and tucked a stray lock of hair behind Eve's ear.

"So where do we go from here?" I asked her with a smile "Do we just stay friends now that we know how we feel and see where it goes or do we go straight to trying a relationship? Which would you prefer?"

"I know you're not trying to hire me." I laughed and blushed more but more because I was laughing than anything. "I just thought that someone like that.. like Jade, just as an example, would fit you better." I nodded to Jade and laughed. "But I don't think you can have her, she's pretty much taken I think."

I couldn't help the smile that grew on my face when Jax said that Abel loved me. If there was one thing that could make my day, besides Jax admitting that he liked me, it was hearing that Abel liked me too.

"Think so?"

I bit my lower lip when Jax reached over and tucked the strand of hair behind my ear and asked where I wanted to go.. I knew exactly where I wanted to go but I wasn't entirely sure about Jax.

"That's kind of up to you. You have Abel to think about." I smiled. "But if it counts for anything I do want you.. but if you'd want to be friends for awhile instead.."

"Is that it?"

I was surprised, to say the least, that the only thing Jade could think of would be personality issues. I would have thought she would say she wasn't in love with me or that she couldn't trust me. Never did I think that it would be something to do with our personalities.

"Then tell me what you do that someone would consider annoying, and I'll tell you mine." I chuckled. "If anything we'll get to know each other a little better right?"

I glanced over at Evelyn and Jax and let out a loud snort when Jade pointed out that she thought those two were finally going somewhere.

"'Bout time." I looked away and up at Jade instead. "I like you, you know. Just in case you didn't."

I chuckled and blushed a little at how surprised he seemed that personality issues were all I could think of. "Well..yeah, pretty much"

I scratched my head and tried to think of everything that could possibly get annoying about me.

"Ok. I'm usually fairly hyper because I've got a major sweet tooth" I giggled "I tend to sing in the shower and talk in my sleep. Um..I like to listen to music loud while I'm working or if I'm cleaning the house. I won't even talk to anyone in the morning until I've had caffeine" I snickered "Oh I know. A lot of guys have said it's incredibly annoying that I can kick their ass" I smirked "My dad was in the military. From the time I could walk, he started training me in both hand to hand combat and weapons. I'm stubborn as hell. And um..." I scratched my head again trying to think of anything else "I'm not all tomboy. There's some pretty girly things I like too. And I'm a bit of a hopeless romantic" I chuckled

I shrugged "That's all I can think of off the top of my head that might be annoying"

I gave him a slightly lopsided smile when he said he liked me too just to clarify it. "And I like you too"

I chuckled and shook my head again "Jade would fit me better as a friend. She's too much 'one of the guys' type for me to look at romantically."

I glanced over at Jade and Dean when Eve pointed out Jade seemed taken. "Yeah she does" I chuckled "Good. It's nice to see Dean showing an interest in someone."

I grinned when she asked about Abel "Of course. Other than me, you're the only person that can get him to stop crying just by picking him up. And when you're holding him, he gets this big smile on his face."

I took a sip of my drink and thought about things when she said it was up to me where we went from here.

"Well, the fact that you think about Abel nearly as much as I do tells me I don't have anything to worry about there" I chuckled "And I only offered the friendship thing because you're the one that fell over when I told you I liked you" I snickered "So, if you think you want to try a relationship" I grinned "I'd like that"

"You know, I wish I would have known sooner that you would have actually liked me for being.. well.. me." I gave a sheepish smile. "I might have actually attempted to be a real friend instead of a cautious one."

Because the truth was I knew that if I would have spent more time with Jax than I already had, I would have ended up falling in love with him and I was scared before that he wouldn't have ever returned those feelings.

I blushed at his grin and couldn't stop my own grin from appearing when he talked about Abel and how I was able to make him stop crying just by picking him up. It made me feel.. I couldn't quite describe it, but I was glad that Jax thought so highly of me with Abel.

"I'm glad. I love that kid."

I blushed slightly when I realized that I'd actually meant that I loved him, just like he'd been my own. I knew that it was ridiculous but Abel had such a huge personality and that cute little smile that I couldn't help it.

"Oh shut up." I laughed, embarrassed. "I fell over because I wasn't paying attention and the rug snuck up on me." I crossed my arms and pouted. "It tripped me on purpose." I chuckled though. "I was shocked, Jax.. that's all." I smiled. "I'd like that too.. I was just too chicken to say it before."

I kept my arms around Jade and listened to the things that she could think of that I might have found annoying. Believe it or not there wasn't anything that would actually get on my nerves and if it did, the chances of it being just random crabby mood that I'd be in would be high.

"Well I can't say that I would never be annoyed because you know there would be times where you'd get on my nerves and I would on yours too."

I lifted up my ass slightly and scooted down on the couch so I was half laying. It sneakily caused Jade to be half laying on me too. I found it amusing that we were already so cuddly when I never cuddled and I'd just met her. It was really saying something.. so that's where I was taking my 'sign' from.

"Most of those I think are just really adorable, not annoying.. and it's always good when a woman can hold her own." I shifted slightly. "My life isn't always boring.. it's only been this way this last year so you being able to kick my ass would come in handy."

I let my thumb stroke the small of her back as I glanced over at the pole. I thought it was strange that I was acting this way with a girl I hardly even knew. I knew that it wasn't just because I was desperate for company either because I could have found that with so many other girls.. no.. this was different. I could almost hear Sam in my ear telling me that this was a good thing.

"You know what I think? I think you worry too much."

"Of course" I chuckled "everyone gets annoyed with someone at some point. Evie and I love each other to pieces, but we still have times where we've annoyed the crap out of each other"

I smiled as he moved us so that we were both half laying. I wiggled around for a moment until I was more comfortable with my head resting on his chest.

"Oh well adorable rather than annoying is good" I giggled

I shrugged when he said I worried too much "I think that's my dad's fault. He always told me to expect every possible possibility so you're always prepared" I snorted "I think he tended to forget I was his daughter and just raised me like a cadet or something"

I sat up a bit so I could look at him. "Ok, your turn" I smiled "What possibly annoying traits of yours should I be aware of?"

I chuckled and nodded "Yeah, guess we both screwed up there. All these months spent liking each other but thinking the other one didn't"

I grinned wider when she said she loved Abel. I knew she did. I could see it whenever she interacted with him. She was a natural mother toward him and it was something I loved about her.

"Evil carpet!" I laughed when she said it had snuck up on her and tripped her on purpose "Oh well" I shrugged "We know now, right? So...um..guess that makes us a couple now"

I gave her a lopsided grin while I thought about something "Which means I can finally do this" I smirked

I slid one hand to the back of her neck and then leaned further over the bar top, pulling her toward me at the same time so we met half way. I pressed my lips to hers in a gentle kiss.

"Okay.. I can see where I could think that you didn't like me. The guy who has women dropping at his feet, the baby and the good looks.. the biker gang and his own business.. you know? But how could you think that I didn't like you?" I asked with an eyebrow raised and a small smile on my face. "I go to you for everything. My car, my tv, my door when that asshole punched a hole in it.. I always want your help, no one else's." I laughed.

"And you know.. not to mention I always make sure everything is absolutely perfect when I see you. Never notice my hair isn't out of place and my clothes are spot free? God you have no idea how hard it is to find clothes in my apartment that are spot free."

I snickered when Jax said the carpet was evil and glanced shyly down at the counter top when he said that we were a couple. I liked that so much I didn't know what to say to it. I supposed I could have squealed like a little girl but that would have probably sent Jax in the other direction.

"Do what?"

I stared at him, wide eyed, as he reached across the bar and slid his hand to the back of my neck. I may have been in shock, but my body followed every move he wanted me to make and I leaned forward with my hands gripping the top of the bar in slight shock. I'd had so much anticipation about the kiss that when I finally felt his lips on mine I gave a soft sigh and then reached up to run my fingertips gently through his facial hair as I returned his kiss.

"See? So you'll get annoyed with me eventually."

I was going to point out that it was okay to get married to me then, but I figured I'd be pushing it. I thought it was best to leave it be and surprise her at the end of the month. I had a few things forming in my head already.. it was going to be a pretty big surprise for her too. I hoped she actually took the offer rather than think I was joking still.

"I honestly doubt I could find a lot of things annoying about you. That I can promise."

I chuckled when she talked about her dad and I was reminded of mine too. I knew what it was like to be raised that way. My dad had done it for obvious reasons but Jade's? I thought it was more so his daughter could protect herself.. which was understandable.

"Your dad sounds a lot like mine, to tell the truth. It's creepy."

I rose an eyebrow when she asked for my own annoying things and I shifted a little under her. I knew my stuff was annoying.

"I'm messy.. really messy. I leave water on the floor when I get out of the shower and I'm not very good at cleaning up the sink after I've made a toothpaste mess. Sam use to say that I listened to terrible music too." I ran my hand through my hair. "I'm stubborn and I usually don't listen to anyone.. I'm a pervert and I like dirty magazines." I laughed. "I have a ton of stuff I could go on about.. it's really embarrassing."

I listened to his list of annoying traits and giggled.

"I'm messy when it comes to clothes, but not dishes. I always do the dishes and I never leave half eaten food laying around or anything. Hmm..unless it's pizza. I usually safe half of one of those and eat it cold for breakfast the next day" I laughed "I like to clean the bathroom once a week, so I pretty much just leave my toothpaste mess until that day. As for music..I tend to listen to stuff from the 80's and 90's."

I couldn't help but smirk at his stubborn comment "So...we're going to have to call in a referee when we disagree on something then" I laughed "unless it turns out one of us is just more stubborn than the other. As for being a pervert.." I smirked "you're talking to the girl that wanted to have sex in your car the moment she saw it. And I'll look at those dirty magazines with you" I winked at him

It seemed like the more we talked, the more we were turning out to be two sides of the same coin.

I laughed and shrugged "I figured you always came to me because I never told you no"

I rose an eyebrow when she talked about how she always tried to look perfect around me. "Well, I did notice you always looked perfect, but I wouldn't have know you're not always like that...since you're always like that when I see you. But honestly, you don't have to worry so much about it. You could be in a dirty tanktop and sweatpants with your hair unbrushed and I'd still think you were beautiful" I smiled

I was rather enjoying our kiss until she started playing with my facial hair and I ended up laughing into the kiss. I broke the kiss completely and leaned back to look at her

"That tickles" I chuckled
