Teller Interview

I watched his face when he sighed. He was putting on a brave face, like me, but I could still see the sadness in his eyes. We'd both lost the ones we loved most; we were kindred spirits in that sense. Maybe that's what seemed to be drawing us to each other so much.

"Well, they say good things come to those who wait" I giggled

I chuckled when he said he was going to hold me to that. I still figured he was messing around..like this was gonna become a running joke between us.

"You do that" I giggled and slid out of the car when he parked.

I rose an eyebrow at Evelyn "You know, that's the first time you've ever invited me to hang out at your place. I'm gonna take you up on that some time then. Maybe later tonight? We can hang out while Jade's over at Dean's to fix his stuff" I chuckled

I smirked at her "No, it's not my ex. She's a friend of mine, but she's never seemed to show much interest in me as anything other than that. At least, not that I've seen anyway"

I shrugged and smiled a little cryptically at her when she seemed surprised I'd rather watch her than Jade.

"What can I say? I'm more interested in you than in your cousin"

When Dean parked the car outside of the Clubhouse, I got out and then walked around to stand beside Eve.

"You know" I said quietly to her "I can't quite tell if Dean's joking about marrying Jade or not" I chuckled

"Is it?" I asked, honestly surprised. "Huh. I always thought that I'd invited you over before. Must not have ever come up." I shrugged and gave a sheepish smile. "I'm sorry.. shows how much I've been around people since my dad was sick."

My lips twitched dangerously on the verge of a large, pleased smile when Jax offered to come over tonight while Dean and Jade were busy doing god-knows-what.

"Really? Okay." I laughed a little at him when he said this girl that he liked was a friend of his. "Did it ever occur to you that she may like you in more than a sexual way?" I smiled. "Which would mean she may not want to look like a slut just to show you she liked you."

I blushed when he said that he was more interested in me than Jade, and I nodded at what he said about Dean.

"I think he meant it."

"Yeah that's true.. but I've never been a very patient guy before." I chuckled and shrugged. "I like getting things right away. The whole aniticipation thing is over rated."

I snickered at Jade when she seemed to still believe that I was joking but the looks on both Evelyn and Jax's faces said that they were thinking otherwise. I shrugged though and let her believe that I was. I would give her some time to get to know me and then bring it up again.

"What makes you think I wasn't serious?"

I asked her with a small smile and then held open the door of the Clubhouse to allowed both the girls and Jax through before I walked in myself. It was empty right now because most of the people came in at night. I'd been here a couple of times to have a few drinks but never stayed for very long. So this looked weird during the day.

"Wow.. is it always so quiet in here this time of day? You'd think you guys were all vampires or something." I snorted and shrugged off old memories and headed further into the room directly behind Jade. She wasn't going to get rid of me that easily.

"Sometimes the anticipation can just make it even better" I smirked "Gives you more appreciation for it when you finally get what you're after"

It was probably a good thing that Dean had opened the door for me. Otherwise, when he'd asked me what made me think he wasn't serious about marrying me, I probably would have walked right into the door or something. I couldn't think of a response really and now I couldn't tell anymore if he was joking or not. So I just walked inside with a slightly confused expression.

"It's a nice place" I smiled, looking around

Since Dean was right behind me, I tilted my head back so it was resting against the front of his shoulder.

"Vampires? Oh come on..If they were vampires, Evie would have told me already. I have a strange fascination for the supernatural" I chuckled, looking up at him "With the number of supposedly haunted places I've dragged her to over the years, she definitely would have told me if something was going on in her home town"

I giggled and lifted my head again to look around "Oo poles!"

And since it was so empty in here, I cackled and hopped onto the stage so I could play around on the dance pole.

I chuckled a little "Yeah, I've always just invited you over..you've never invited me"

I rose an eyebrow at her "Oh I'm not interested in this person just for sex either. You know that I'm capable of relationships. I just have the sex when I can have that" I chuckled "But I'm still not sure she's interested. I mean " I shrugged at her "she's only just gotten around to inviting me over"

I smirked at her and left the hint like that. I laughed though when she said she thought Dean was serious.

"I wonder if Jade knows that"

I snorted when Dean talked about us being vampires. "We're not vampires. But most of the people in this town work during the day, which is why business doesn't usually start booming til after five" I smiled

I laughed as Jade suddenly squealed in excitement and ran for the dance pole and started playing on it.

"Tequila" I snickered to Eve and started walking toward the bar with her

"What the hell are you two talking about?" I asked finally and chuckled. "Anticipation? Marriage? Have I missed something?"

Yes, it wasn't exactly my business but I'd noticed that we all had started talking and pairing off into two's. I didn't want Jade to think that I was ignoring her or anything. Jax would always be around, I wasn't sure about Jade.

"I know you're capable of them." I chuckled. "But what's the chances that you'd stay faithful anyway? With all these cute young girls throwing themselves at you."

I was trying to walk across the room when Jax said that this girl had only just invited him over to her house. I was daft when it came to some things but that was an obvious hint. My cheeks turned red and I fumbled with my words but even worse than that.. I tripped over the edge of a small rug. I was beside Jax one second and on the floor the next.

"Oh.. ow." I whimpered. "Yes.. tequila would be nice right now."

I chuckled a little at Jade and shrugged finally. "I appreciate everything I have, I don't need anticipation to make it any better."

I glanced back at Evelyn and rose an eyebrow when she asked what we were talking about. I placed my arm around Jade's shoulder and leaned over to kiss the temple of her forehead.

"Looks like we're going to be family."

I snickered because everyone still assumed that I was joking but Evelyn narrowed her eyes suspiciously at me. I gave her a shrug and a wink and then turned back to Jade.

"Fascination for supernatural things?" My heard pounded in my chest and I looked down at Jade in concern. On the one hand that was incredibly attractive to me - even more than the car thing. Hunting had always been my life but on the other.. well, that's how I'd lost Sam. I couldn't imagine getting attached to a girl and losing her that way too.

"What sort of things do you believe in?"

I snickered as Jade ran right for the pole and I didn't even hear Evelyn's thump on the floor behind me as she fell. I was too preoccupied with Jade and that pole. I practically flew over to the couch and gave a joking whistle.

"Gonna give me a show?"

I giggled at Dean when he kissed my temple and told Evie they were going to be family.

"After I told him his car made me hot, he asked me to marry him" I shrugged at Evie, giggling again

I looked up at Dean again, noticing the slight note of panic in his voice when I talked about the supernatural. I rose an eyebrow and shrugged

"I believe in most stuff, but not bigfoot" I chuckled "and I've only ever gone on ghost hunts. I figure it's smarter and safer for an amateur not to go chasing after demons and monsters on their own"

I was having fun spinning around on the dance pole when Dean whistled and asked for a show. I laughed and shrugged and started dancing as sexy as I could with the pole, but I had no intention of taking my clothes off

"Hey, I'm capable of faithfulness too thank you very much" I laughed

True, it wasn't something I practiced often; but then again, I wasn't really ever in relationships often. I tried really hard not to, but a small snort of amusement slipped out when Eve caught on to what I'd hinted at and ended up on the floor

"You alright?" I asked, reaching down and helping her to her feet "Was it really that big a shock?" I chuckled

"And.. are you?"

I giggled slightly and wiped at my knees, quickly turning away from the sight of my cousin dancing sexy on the pole. A tiny bit of me hoped that Jax wouldn't look either, though I wouldn't hold it against him.

"I'm sorry." I chuckled. "I didn't mean it in an insensitive way. You just.. don't seem like the type of person that would.. you know.. commit to someone else." I winced and blushed furiously. "You've got Abel and the club and work.. and all those girls."

I really didn't mean anything offensive, I hoped he knew that. I took his arm as he reached down and help me to my feet and I chuckled at myself as I brushed the dirt off my knees.

"I'm fine, promise." I smiled. "And yes, it is." I headed over to the bar and grabbed the brand new bottle of tequila and two shot glasses, along with four cold beers. "I can say the same for you, you know. Not hinting at all." I frowned. "Unless it wasn't meant to be for.. for you know.."

I shifted uncomfortably now. My earlier thought about it being me he was talking about. Maybe it was someone else that sounded just like me. If it was, I was going to feel incredibly stupid.

"I still want to know why you think I'm joking." I laughed at Jade and shook my head at her as well. "Give me a month, I promise I'll prove that I meant it. Then you won't think I'm joking anymore."

I chuckled quietly when Jade said that she didn't believe in bigfoot, but that she hadn't wanted to go looking for demons or anything. I sighed a tiny bit in relief despite the fact that I was trying to hide my concern. Most people didn't believe in those things and I didn't want to freak Jade out by letting her know that I believed too. What if she was just testing me?

"That's good.. cause bigfoot doesn't exist." I chuckled quietly to myself before I realized what I'd said. I sighed and gave a sheepish look before getting comfortable on the sofa I was sitting on. I whistled loudly when Jade started to dance sexy and I was tempted to point it out to Jax... but I stopped myself because I didn't want to share her.

"Has anyone ever told you how gorgeous your body is?" I chuckled. "I know I sound like a pervert and all, considering you just met me but the way you move.." I drifted off with a sigh and tilted my head to the side as I watched every move her body made.

"You're going to make me one happy husband."

I giggled at Evie "Yes, Evie. I've known him for twenty minutes and I'm already going to run back to Vegas to elope" I shook my head at her

I looked at Dean and rose an eyebrow "I think you're joking because that's how long we've known each other. Most guys take years..or a baby..to even consider getting married. I just find it hard to believe you'd truly want to marry me after 20 minutes of flirting and me telling you how hot your car is" I laughed

But I couldn't help looking thoughtful at his promise "Alright then. You've got a month to prove you're suffering from some love at first sight and not some sort of strange no-sex-before-marriage rule" I grinned

I had to admit, it was tempting. I was drawn to Dean more than I'd ever been to anyone before. I had a feeling that in after a week of prolonged contact with him, I'd be head over heels.

"Ah, now see..now I know you're smart at least" I giggled "So many other people believe in ghosts, vampires, werewolves, demons, and then suddenly lump UFOs and Bigfoot in there with it too. Those are pretty much just the people that'll believe in anything. So at least now I know that you know what you're talking about" I smiled

My smile got a little bigger and I actually blushed a little when he talked about my body and the way I moved. "Thank you"

I couldn't help but tilt my head back and laugh when he said I'd make him a happy husband. I shook my head and stopped dancing, walking over to join him on the couch. I sat in his lap and just looked him in the eyes for a few moments.

"I have a feeling you'd make a pretty good husband too" I smiled

I was so focused on Eve that I didn't even pay attention to the fact that Jade was on the pole. I sighed slightly as my reputation came back to bite me on the ass as usual.

"I'm more than willing to commit to someone I care about. If I'm in a relationship, Eve, even if all those girls are still throwing themselves at me..don't mean I'm gonna catch them. You know?" I smiled wryly

Truth was, ever since I'd gotten Abel out of the hospital, the thought of settling down had become more and more appealing. I wanted the family thing and not just the SAMCRO family either. I wanted my own family.

I smiled again and leaned across the bar a little to talk to her while she got us drinks.

"Don't worry, I was talking about you." I chuckled "No one else."

The fact that Jax hadn't even turned a little bit to see Jade dancing definitely didn't go unnoticed. That right there made me know, for sure, that Jax was the right guy to like here. It wasn't often that someone overlooked me for Jade. Not that I minded, but it was nice to be noticed once in awhile.

"Well.." I blushed slightly. "You'll have to let me know if there's anyone out there that could actually take you off the market, so to speak."

I chuckled a little, still not believing entirely that it was me. Well, me that could take him away from all the other girls like that. His next comment about it being me for sure made me blush again.

"Are you sure you don't want to back out now and go for the smart one?" I asked jokingly and nodded my head to Jade. "You know, the sexy girl who can fix cars."

I chuckled, trying to make light of the situation because my brain was having a hard time wrapping around this. I didn't dress sexy like the girls around here did, or even Jade. I didn't work on cars and I didn't even know how to ride a bike. My car was falling apart and until Jade arrived I'd essentially been a loner. I didn't know what was so great about me.

"Not that I'm arguing." I said quickly with a smile. "Because I've liked you for awhile too." I admitted in a rush and sighed in relief when it was over. "I just don't fit in, ya know?" I pushed his shot glass full of tequila over to him and smiled. "Drink up."
