A lot of things have changed for Jax Teller. After he found out Donna's death was Clay and Tigg's doing, he turned his back on Clay,Tigg, and Gemma. He also turned his back on Charming.
What he didn't turn his back on were SAMCRO and his son, Abel. He thought the Sons of Anarchy needed to go back to the way it was meant to be..the way it was supposed to be...the way his real father and Piney had dreamed it would be when they created it together. Jax was sick of the abundant violence, the arms dealing, etc etc that Clay Morrow had turned the club into. So, Jax split and Juice, Piney, and Oppie went with him.
They came upon the town of Serenity. There was a total of 3 cops in the small town when they arrived and the place was having trouble with rowdy tourists and a faction of the Mayans that were trying to take over the place. The four SoA members helped restore order to the town and moved in. It's been a few months since then and the Serenity faction of SoA has about 10 members now.
Jax set up the only mechanics place in town for all the SoA to work at and the Clubhouse. The SoA are already pretty much running the town and the people consider them a valuable part of the community.
Points to note
If you want to be a member of the SoA, post it in your character intro and wait for Jax to approve it
