Riley for the most part is a nice guy but because of the things that's happened in his life he doesn't always show that side of himself. He can do pretty much anything when it needs to be done, meaning if he had to hurt someone he would without even blinking.. it's who his dad made him into..

Riley was born and raised in Serenity with Evelyn and was friends, for the most part, with Cyn through high school. When he was younger his mother died from a drug overdose and his father liked to beat the snot out of him, which was how Riley learned to fight. When he started to fight back his father got even more violent and it kept going back and forth until Riley up and left after high school.. though no one knows why he did.

He was involved in a lot of fights, had his own 'gang' of followers during high school and was one of those guys that beat up and picked on the smaller weaker kids. Only Evelyn and Cyn had ever seen any nice side of him and only a few have since.

Riley moved to LA and started dating Maggie and she became pregnant right away. Nine months later they had a baby boy and named him Asher after her grandfather. Three years later she too, died from an overdose and after a year trying to raise Ash on his own, Riley's decided to come back home and have a new life there.
