Nanny Interview

"Two weeks" I smiled "Been the best two weeks of my life, I think"

I fidgeted with Abel for a moment when Riley asked me about his mom. I didn't like talking about her..or really much of anything concerning my old life in Charming.

"She's back in Charming. We were actually in the middle of a divorce when she had him. She was a junkie, so she wasn't allowed to have custody of Abel, luckily"

I smiled down at Abel and tickled his belly, then chuckled as he heaved a giant sigh and fell asleep in my arms.

"Of course she's too good for you" I snorted in amusement "She's a girl. All girls are too good for us guys. Didn't you know?" I chuckled "And yet they still end up liking us anyway..which is good for us"

I looked at him for a moment and gave a sly smirk "Bet you're going to love having her around though. There's just something to be said for having a woman's scent and voice filling a man's home."

"Nah, not yet.. but they all eventually do."

I chuckled when Cyn said she knew where she was going to come when the chores were done and Ash was asleep.

"Yep, lucky! I only have one of those glass showers in mine." I pouted. "I haven't taken a nice relaxing bath in years."

I snorted when she said she would have to remember not to wander out in her underwear or anything. I looked her over for a minute and then rose an eyebrow.

"Are you kidding? Wander out naked some time when Ash is sleeping and you'll make Riley's day."

I giggled at how innocent she was being, about not believing me when I said that Riley had had a crush on her back in school. I did snort loudly though when she said she would stay out of his way as much as possible.

"You know I always thought you were innocent and blind to everything around you when we were in school.. things really haven't changed, have they?" I asked with a smile. "You do know that I wasn't joking about Riley, right? He really did have a crush on you all through high school."

"Do I even have to bother with the whole 'you hurt her, I kill you' speach? I've said that enough times with Evelyn in the past.. would be nice to just trust a guy for a change." I chuckled. "And congratulations, for the two weeks I mean. Most guys don't last past the first one with her."

I hadn't seen Evelyn in years but I'd still kept in touch with her through the phone and internet. I was a bad friend, I knew. I nodded when he talked about his ex and by the way he answered I knew he didn't want to talk about it.

"So.. Charming, huh? What was it like there?" I nodded to his vest he was wearing. "I think I heard of them once when I was passing through Vegas on a trip of mine."

I chuckled and nodded in agreement when Jax said that all girls were too good for us. But then I stopped and shook my head.

"Oh no.. I can think of a few who weren't good enough.. even for me." I laughed. "But Cyn.." I shifted. "She's sweet and.. I'm the total opposite."

I grinned a little when Jax mentioned some of the good things that came along with having a female live with you. I actually couldn't wait for that. It was one of the many things I liked about having a woman with me.

"Yeah tell me about it. I actually can't wait, to be honest." I chuckled. "I love Ash.. but having a woman thrown in there will make life that much better. You know?"

"I wouldn't really know" I chuckled, referring to that only one time I'd dated

I snickered when she talked about my bath tub. "You have my permission to come borrow my tub any time you want. For all I mind, you can pop over every day when Riley's at work and wallow in the tub for hours" I giggled

I blinked when she told me to wander out naked sometime and it'd make Riley's day. "Why, has he not had sex since Ash was born or something?" I laughed

I eyed her though when she told me Riley really had had a crush on me in high school. I could tell by the look on her face this time that she wasn't teasing me, she was actually telling the truth.

"Really? He sure didn't act like it" I chuckled and then gave a small shrug "Oh well, that was high school...this isn't. I'm sure he's over it"

I wasn't over my crush on him apparently, but I figured his crush on me couldn't have been that big to begin with.

I snorted "No, please don't." I chuckled "Her cousin Jade already gave me that speech behind Eve's back. I don't know if you know her or not, but I saw her kick the shit out of Juice the other day at work when he grabbed her ass. Somehow, I'm more worried about her getting me than you" I snickered

I smiled when he congratulated me. "Thanks. I don't see why not. She's a great girl"

I shrugged "Charming was a lot like here. Small town type thing. And yeah, Sam Crow is pretty much all over the states. We have branches of the family everywhere" I chuckled

I smirked when he said Cyn was the opposite of him "Yeah, Eve's the opposite of me in a lot of ways..but opposites attract they say"

I nodded enthusiastically when he talked about how nice it would be to have Cyn around. "Nothing makes a house a home like the presence of a good woman. Now if I could just get Eve to believe I actually want her to live with me" I chuckled "I'd have it made too"

I chuckled when Cyn offered the tub to me. "Thanks. I might just take you up on it."

I snorted when she asked if Riley hadn't had sex since Ash was born because of my comment. "He was still with Ash's mom until she died a year ago."

I remained quiet for a few moments after Cyn shrugged off my comment about Riley liking her. Now I knew how that was, not having any confidence because I did have my moments too but I didn't know why she wasn't believing anything.

"Why do you do that?" I asked quietly, as if the boys could hear me. "I mean.. I know you've never had a lot of confidence but I'm telling you he likes you and you don't believe me." I chuckled. "I'm his best friend.. I know how he feels about you." I snorted. "Even Jax could see it I bet. I knew you liked him long before I pulled you in here with me."

I patted her leg and then stood up and stepped out of the tub.

"Time to go back to the boys.. I love you Cyn, but I'm missing Abel time." I smiled. "Ready?"

"Good, then someone else has that covered. But I wouldn't be so sure about worrying about her and not me."

One side of my lip twitched up into a smirk and then I shrugged and it was gone. I wasn't threatening him or anything, but to say that a girl was scarier than me was a slap in the face.

"Why not? Oh I could think of a few things.."

I chuckled and then rose an eyebrow when Jax takled about Sam Crow a little more. I had to admit he had held my interest there.

"So what are you.. exactly?"

I snickered when he said that he just had to convince Ev. That might be hard. It made me thankful that mine was so easy.

"Well.. at least you don't have to pay her, right?" I smirked. "I think I should have added some nice late-night visits in that deal too.. Huh. Wish I would have thought of that sooner."

I chuckled "Any time"

I frowned slightly when she said Riley had been with Ash's mom until she died. "Oh..that's terrible. Poor guy."

I blinked at her question. I actually had to think about why I automatically dismissed the thought of Riley liking me. I tilted my head to one side while I thought.

"Hmm..I think it's because I've had a hopeless crush on him for so long that my brain just refuses to let me have hope when it comes to him" I chuckled "And it probably doesn't help that we were never really friends or anything. He was just nicer to me than the other guys at school" I shrugged "It's one of those where I can't believe a guy like that would like a girl like me. Ya know?"

I smiled and stood up "Yeah, they probably think we're never coming out or something" I giggled "Let's go get your Abel fix"

I started heading back out toward the living room

I laughed "I'll just have to make sure you and Jade never team up on me then. Between Jade's military ass-whipping skills and whatever you've got up your sleeve, I'm sure I wouldn't survive"

I shrugged when he said he could think of a few things about Eve "Surprisingly enough, most the things other people find annoying about her just amuse me" I chuckled

I tried to think of how to explain the SoA to him. I launched into the best explaination I could give of what we were and what we stood for (or at least what the original charter I was basing my group off of stood for). When I was finished and he said he should have added nice late night visits to his deal with Cyn, I laughed.

"I'm sure if you asked her to add that to the deal, she would. Like I said, she obviously still has her old school crush on ya"

I nodded when Cyn said that it was terrible that Ash's mother had died. I thought that I'd leave it as that because the rest she could find out from Riley. I didn't want to piss him off for telling her too much.

"I've been there before too." I nodded when she said that she was in denial about it all, basically. "I know how you feel.. I was the same with Jax. You'll get over it." I giggled. "But you can flirt all you want.. that never hurt anything right?"

I headed back out to the living room with Cyn and smiled when I saw Abel sleeping in Jax's arms. I grabbed his tiny blanket out of his diaper bag that was mostly full of his toys, and covered him up as I sat back down beside Jax.

"Hey.. little guy fell asleep on me, huh." I chuckled. "So what were you and Riley talking about? Anything interesting?"

"Wow." My smirk turned into a large grin. "Something tells me I'm going to like it here. A kick-ass woman, huh. I can't wait to meet Evelyn's cousin then."

I listened quietly, and intently, as Jax told me all about Sam Crow and everything. I was tempted to ask if I could join, but bit back the question. I figured if he wanted me to he would suggest it or maybe Evelyn would talk to him. I had enough, for this weekend anyway, to contend with.

I was chewing over all the thoughts about the gang when Jax said that Cyn probably wouldn't mind a new deal. My eyebrows flew up and I gave a loud laugh. "No, I don't think she would. I think she'd want something more than being paid.. to have sex.. with someone."

I shrugged and then put a nice smile on my face when Cyn and Evelyn came back out. I pointed to Ash who was standing in front of the tv, dancing around with his Wii controllers. "I was thinking.. how about me and you grab up that little guy and take him out to dinner?"

"You gonna teach me how to flirt?" I giggled

Yeah, I'd never had much occasion for flirting in the past. If I did flirt somehow, it was usually by sheer accident or something. I didn't think I could flirt on purpose. I wasn't even sure I'd ever have the guts to actually try it intentionally either.

I couldn't help but return Riley's smile when I saw it. It was like an automatic reaction...he smiled and I had to smile back. I figured it had something to do with the fact that he always looked so cute when he was smiling.

"Sounds good to me. Oh, but hang on..if we're going take Ash to eat, lemme just change real quick. I doubt this dress would be appropriate for wherever we take him" I giggled.

I grabbed my backpack up from where I'd left it beside the chair and ran back to my room. I quickly changed into the clothes I'd worn for the ride down here, then came back out into the living room.

"Ok, this is better" I grinned because it had only taken me about two minutes to get changed

I chuckled "Don't get too excited about Jade, she's got a boyfriend that gets jealous easily"

I could see him thinking a lot after I'd gotten done talking about the club. I didn't know him well enough to know if it was something he'd be interested in joining or not, so I didn't offer. I'd have to talk to Eve about it later and see. As long as he knew it could be dangerous and pretty time consuming sometimes to be a part of Sam Crow, I wouldn't mind having him if he still wanted to join. He looked like the type of guy that could fit right in with us.

I looked up and smiled as Eve came out, covered Abel, and sat beside me. It was one of the reasons I knew I was already falling in love with her. I tended to smile the second I saw her.

"Yeah, guess he was tired" I chuckled and then shrugged "We were just chatting about guy stuff mostly" I smirked, glancing toward Cyn for a second

I stood up when Cyn ran off to get changed to go out to eat with Ash and Riley.

"Right, we should prolly get this little guy to bed" I smiled and passed him to Eve so she could hold him on the way down to my apartment "and then I'll order us some pizza"

I looked at Riley "It was nice meeting you. You ever wanna hang out with some guys sometime, just lemme know. Any friend of Eve's is a friend of mine" I grinned

I smirked slightly at Cyn as she suddenly reappeared "Nice meeting you too, Cyn...have fun" I snickered

I headed to get the front door so Eve and I could leave

I followed Jax's line of sight when he said that they were just talking about guy stuff, and I gave a chuckle when I realized what he was telling me. I thought it was amusing how he could say exactly what they'd been talking about without even having to say a word. I leaned over and kissed his cheek.

"Mhmm, and we were having girl talk. I'm guessing about the same thing too."

I flew to my feet when Jax stood up. I almost always got Abel when we were going to walk somewhere.. it's how I always stole him. I resisted squealing because I didn't want to wake up Abel, and I carefully took him from Jax and held him close to me, after giving him a kiss on his forehead.

"Pizza sounds perfect. It's been a couple nights since I've gotten to snuggle with you two." I waved my hand from underneath Abel to Riley and Cyn. "It was nice seeing you again.. both of you." I grinned. "I'll see you soon, I promise."

I grinned and followed Jax out of the apartment so that we could both hurry back to his apartment and spend a quiet night together. I loved those nights.

Lp - Jax too

I couldn't help the large smile that came on my face when Cyn smiled back at me either. It wasn't all because I liked her, but because her smile was that contagious. She was really the prettiest girl I'd ever seen. It made me a little sad that she wasn't Ash's mother. Probably would have been a better one too.

"Take your time!" I tried to say before Cyn ran off to get dressed. I chuckled a little and then stood up and turned off the Wii and tv when Jax and Evelyn stood up.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to kick you out or anything." I smiled and nodded to Jax. "I'll take you up on that sometime."

I waved to them, watched as they left and then had Cyn help me dress Ash and then we went off to have dinner too and talk about any rules that needed to be set and what had happened to us after high school.
